For Policy Managers

How to Update a Policy

  1. Create a branch: git checkout -b update/policy-name-2025-11
  2. Edit the policy file
  3. Update the version and last_review date in frontmatter
  4. Create a Pull Request
  5. Get required approvals (see CODEOWNERS)
  6. Merge to main

How to Create a New Policy

  1. Copy the template: cp templates/policy-template.md policies/[category]/new-policy.md
  2. Fill in all required fields
  3. Create a Pull Request
  4. Get approvals and merge

Review Schedule

  • Security policies: Semi-annual review
  • HR policies: Annual review
  • All other policies: Annual review or upon regulatory changes
