Purpose

Acme Corp is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination based on protected characteristics.


Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors at Acme Corp facilities or events.


Policy Statement

Acme Corp provides equal employment opportunities and does not discriminate based on: - Race, color, or national origin - Religion or creed - Sex, gender, gender identity, or gender expression - Sexual orientation - Age - Disability (physical or mental) - Genetic information - Marital status - Military or veteran status - Pregnancy or parental status - Any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law

Prohibited Harassment

Harassment includes unwelcome conduct based on protected characteristics that: - Creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment - Interferes with work performance - Affects employment decisions

Examples include: - Offensive jokes, slurs, epithets, or name-calling - Physical assaults or threats - Intimidation, ridicule, or mockery - Offensive objects or pictures - Unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors

Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment is strictly prohibited and includes: - Unwelcome sexual advances - Requests for sexual favors - Verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature - Creating a sexually hostile work environment - Quid pro quo (employment benefits conditioned on sexual favors)


Reporting Procedure

How to Report

If you experience or witness harassment or discrimination:

  1. Report immediately to any of the following:
  2. Your supervisor or manager
  3. Human Resources: hr@acmecorp.com
  4. HR Director: hr@acmecorp.com
  5. Anonymous hotline: (555) 123-4567

  6. You will not face retaliation for making a good-faith report

  7. Investigation process:

  8. All complaints taken seriously
  9. Prompt, thorough, and impartial investigation
  10. Confidentiality maintained to extent possible
  11. Appropriate corrective action if harassment confirmed
  12. Protection from retaliation

Manager Responsibilities

Managers and supervisors must: - Report any harassment they observe or learn about - Take immediate action to stop harassment - Cooperate fully with investigations - Never retaliate against someone who reports harassment


Consequences

Violations of this policy may result in: - Verbal or written warning - Suspension - Termination - Legal action


Non-Retaliation

Retaliation against anyone who reports harassment or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.



Compliance

This policy complies with: - Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) - Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) - Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidelines - State and local anti-discrimination laws


Training

All employees must complete anti-harassment training: - Upon hire - Annually thereafter - Managers receive additional training
